Just a quick tip to make the bag as comfortable as possible when wearing as a backpack - we recommend attaching the back pack straps to the D rings at the base of the tote handle (rather than the same D ring used for the pram straps). This will ensure it won't slip off your shoulders when wearing it.

Great quality and exactly what I was after. So happy the choice was made on this baby bag. Practical and stylish.

Love how spacious the bag is!

I bought this as a toddler/work bag for travel with my 2 yo. I absolutely love how spacious the bag is - it fits my 13 inc MacBook, my toddlers spare clothes, snacks, and other essentials, it also fits my toddlers Smiggles bottles perfectly as well as my 1L Frank Green. I also love how well thought out each compartment is as this ensures the bag stays neat and everything is easy to access. Unfortunately, the only downside is how heavy the bag is when empty (which doesn’t help at all when it’s full). While the material is sturdy, it also makes the bag quite heavy. I ‘ve only used the stroller attachments once, as attaching the bag to the stroller actually causes the stroller to tip backwards when my toddler isn’t in the stroller (due to the weight). While I do love the bag, the heaviness of it means I’ll only be using the bag for visiting family or for travel (mainly when I need my MacBook and all my toddlers things. So while I love the bag, I am a little disappointed. I will definitely be purchasing the pram caddy I think in future as I do love Henlee’s designs, but don’t like the heaviness of the Soho.

Regarding the weight, you’re absolutely right that the Soho is more substantial than a standard nappy bag. Its structured design, premium microfiber faux leather and generous capacity all contribute to that elevated feel - but they do make it heavier than a standard fabric, unstructured bags. For many parents this added structure and easy clean feature of our faux leather is what they love, but we understand it won’t suit every lifestyle or pram setup.

As for the stroller tipping, this can unfortunately happen with any heavier bag when hung on a pram without weight in the seat (a common safety note from pram manufacturers too). We recommend only attaching any pram bag when the seat is occupied and always checking the weight balance first to keep things safe and steady.

So far loving absolutely love my Henlee SoHo Luxe Convertible Bag — it’s the perfect mix of practicality and style. The spacious design easily fits everything I need (I’ve packed it as my hospital baby bag with over six outfits and still have room to spare!). Love the pocket segments it has inside.
The multi-function straps are a game changer — they make it so easy to carry when my hands are full, and my husband can wear it comfortably too. It’s stylish enough to use beyond the newborn days too, so looking forward to that!

Disappointing colour

Design and quality are great but colour is a major disappointment and not true to online photos. I ordered the chocolate brown as the website shows a beautiful deep, rich chocolate brown, however the bag that has arrived is MUCH lighter and almost has a greenish(?) hue which makes it look like a cheap knock off. Really disappointed as I was looking forwards to this bag particularly because of the colour-hopefully it's just a manufacturing error but would recommend trying to view in person before buying the chocolate brown colour (I couldn't as based in rural NZ)

Our Chocolate shade was designed as a warm, mid-tone brown with soft undertones that may vary slightly depending on lighting and screen settings. Loveee but the flap is frustrating

Love love love my bag! My baby boy is nearly 5 months and I never brought another bag. He wears cloth nappies, so when my bag is fully packed with all the baby essentials, it's really hard to close the zipper. If I lift the handle of the bag without the zipper being closed the flap comes off the latch every time and everything falls out of the bag.

The second thing is the flap of the bag is SO RIDGID, I have to have one hand to hold the flap to make sure it stays open while I pack the bag, otherwise is just keeps closing shut, I've tried to put a bend in the leather but it bounces right back haha! Also, when you open the bag to rummage through the flap will just keep closing on your hand, it's super frustrating when you're in a pickle. If there was a latch or something on the otherside for the flap to be secured to while packing or opening the bag it would be 100% worth every penny.

I wish I invested in the jordie lux, as I think it looks like there is more room.

You’re absolutely right — cloth nappies definitely take up more space, and when the bag is packed to the brim, the structured flap and zip can be a bit fiddly (especially when juggling a baby!). The flap is designed to hold its shape for that elevated look, but we totally understand how that can feel less practical when you’re in a rush.

I love this bag, the fact I can wear it over a shoulder or as a backpack is amazing.
The inside with all the elastic pockets keeps it organised. I can fit all my babies stuff and mine in it. Everything is easy to access and has its own place. Looks so great it’s a nappy bag in disguise.

The best nappy bag!!!

So stoked with my purchase, the holy grail of nappy bags!

Most impractical nappy bag

I made the mistake of purchasing this nappy bag for the style. However I quickly learned no amount of style is worth it. It only has one handle and a flap cover so if you carry it by the handle and the flap isn’t closed, you constantly have things falling out. Who has time to constantly close the button with a baby? And if your bag is full it won’t close or take a considerable amount of adjustment to close it. A nappy bag should be easy to use and carry. This is not. It’s also not comfortable to carry it as a backpack and while it’s advertised as a backpack alternative, trust me you won’t be carrying it like that. Also, you have to purchase the pram straps separately which I wasn’t aware of so another additional cost. I’m a first time mum learning what is convenient and what isn’t. This definitely isn’t. I also bought the change mat which doesn’t fit in the outside pocket of the bag. Given change mats are being placed on unsanitary areas, I don’t want to have to put the change mat inside the bag next to clothes, toys, bottles etc.

We completely understand that what makes a baby bag practical is very personal, and a style that works perfectly for one parent may not suit another.

We did just want to clarify a few things for you and for others reading your review. The bag has been designed to be worn as a shoulder bag, crossbody, backpack or carried by the grab handle, and we have many images and videos on our website showing each of these options. When the main zip is closed, the front flap also closes easily with a magnetic button.

We also put a lot of consideration into whether pram straps should be included. During the design process, we polled our customers and only around 50% said they would want them. As including them would increase the price of every bag, we made the decision to offer them separately so customers only pay for them if they need them.

With the change mat, we actually offer two different options. The Changing Clutch you purchased is our larger, padded style. It can be carried inside the bag, attached separately to your pram handle or kept in your pram basket. If you were specifically looking for a change mat that fits into the bag's exterior pocket, we would have happily recommended our more compact, non-padded UNI Change Mat instead.

We’re sorry this bag hasn't met your expectations. It’s a product we spent a great deal of time and thought designing, but we also recognise that bag preferences are incredibly personal. We do feel the design, ways to wear it and optional accessories are clearly represented on our website, and we would never intentionally mislead our customers.

I got his nappy bag as I needed a larger one as I’m having my second Bub soon. It’s so roomy and looks so good. I’m really happy with it!

Stylish but not practical

Absolutely love the look of the bag. The pouches and pockets inside the bag make organising very easy.
However, as a mum you do a lot one handed. I find you need two hands to rummage through the bag to get what you need. The flap is very rigid and doesn’t stay open when you’re trying to find things.
The top handle is also attached to the flap and the button closest very strong so (most of the time) when I hold the bag by the handle, it pops open.

We really appreciate your feedback regarding accessing the bag one-handed and the rigidity of the front flap. These are exactly the kinds of comments that are helpful to us when we're designing and refining future products.

We did just want to mention that the bag is designed to be zipped closed before carrying it by the top grab handle. When the main zip is closed, the magnetic button on the front flap should close easily and remain secure. The grab handle is intended more as a convenient way to quickly pick up or move the bag, rather than the primary way to carry it day to day.

For everyday use, many of our customers choose to carry the bag using the shoulder or crossbody strap, or as a backpack, which also leaves your hands free, something we know is particularly helpful when you're carrying a baby.

That said, we completely understand that with a baby you're very often doing things one handed, and we appreciate your feedback about how the bag has worked for you in real life.
